Musebox: 6 1/2 Verse: Shopping with Holiday

Who: Rafe and Holiday
What: Shopping for clothes post lift from Abysus and a few exams later.

When: A week after arriving at Providence
Where: Providence HQ/Holiday's Car/Shopping!
Warnings: Possible mention of slash and MPREG
Rafe sat, arms wrapped around himself in his room.  All things considered, there wasn't much of his in this room.  It was all white and sterile.  It was more like a hospital than a young boy's room.  Still, this was his assigned living quarters for the next well...until they figured out what to do with him. 
He sighed, blue eyes looking over the door that connected his room to his mother's apartment.  His mother wasn't there of course, he was still in intensive care where he needed to be.  Getting better slowly, but surely.  It gave Rafe a lot of time to himself.

"Sure."

He eagerly takes it, trying hard to look like he's trying to see what is in it. He's awful at it.

He smiles to himself and swings it back and forth as he walks. There is a little spring in his step, but he still walks extremely close to Holiday.

"Where to now?"

She's just happy that he's so happy and enjoying himself.

"Wherever you want. We should probably pick out more things for your room, but whatever catches your eyes."

And her happiness flows off of her and he is happy to catch it. It is a wonderful sort if reciprocation.

"That sounds good. My room is really boring. All white and stuff."

"Agreed," she chuckled, "It could use a little color and personality to it. Even my room is so decorated and still seems still bland."

"I haven't seen your room, Dr. Holiday. What does it look like?"

Rafe could use some ideas. He has always just made himself at home wherever his parents were. Having his own personal den is new to him.

[doc_holi]

"Well, it's a lot like your room, I guess, but I have a bigger bed and a couch and little table and a ton of pictures all over. I'll have to show them to you some time. There's a lot of Rex and your mother. Even my sister is mixed in there, too."

[wise_lil_wolf]

Rafe smiles.

"I'd like to see them...but you have to promise to tell me about the things in the pictures. I wasn't there. I don't know what was going on."

He pauses, thinking.

"Could we get some frames? I'd like a few pictures, too. Of course, I'll probably need pictures for them, too. Mine are all back...ahh...there."

He motioned with his head. He had stopped himself from saying "home." Abysus wasn't his home anymore. He had to keep working on remembering that. Providence is home now.

"Don't worry. Ever picture has a little story attached to it. Would be crazy if I didn't tell you." She tells everyone else that glances at them. In full detail and, sometimes, faces.

"Sure, we can get you some. And maybe a camera, too, so you can get some pictures." Maybe one of those cheaper ones. It wasn't the money issue, it was the technology. She didn't know if he'd get confused with all those buttons and screens and stuff. Everything was much easier when you'd just point and click.

"Okay, good. I would like that. I like pictures."

Cheaper was probably good. He would feel bad if he broke it on accident and it was expensive. Besides, point and click was probably best. Some of his subjects were skittish.

"Where do you buy stuff like that?"

[doc_holi]

"An electronics store. You'll know it when you see it. They have a bunch of TVs and stuff on display. I'm sure there's one in here somewhere."

Rafe nods.

"Okay."

He looks around, keeping his eyes open.

The mall is getting more crowded as they get close to the food court. The emotional buzzing is starting to spill over.
