Who: Rafe and Holiday
What: Shopping for clothes post lift from Abysus and a few exams later.
When: A week after arriving at Providence
Where: Providence HQ/Holiday's Car/Shopping!
Warnings: Possible mention of slash and MPREG
Rafe sat, arms wrapped around himself in his room. All things considered, there wasn't much of his in this room. It was all white and sterile. It was more like a hospital than a young boy's room. Still, this was his assigned living quarters for the next well...until they figured out what to do with him.
He sighed, blue eyes looking over the door that connected his room to his mother's apartment. His mother wasn't there of course, he was still in intensive care where he needed to be. Getting better slowly, but surely. It gave Rafe a lot of time to himself.

It is all he can manage to say. It is choked and strained.

Date: 2012-08-07 01:18 am (UTC)Holiday knew this entire thing was hard on him, especially with Six out of commission right now. She wanted to use this trip as a way of distraction from his problems.

Date: 2012-08-07 01:36 am (UTC)Her arm might be a little damp now.
"Thank You. I know you love Mum. I'm glad you do. I was scared we'd be alone, but we're not. I don't know a lot about things here, but I'm not scared with you around. You feel nice. Your feelings."

Date: 2012-08-07 02:06 am (UTC)Even she's a bit... shocked at the... loving his mom part...
Holiday still stops on the side of the road, right before wrapping him in a tight hug. Six might not like hugs, but she's not skipping out on him.

Date: 2012-08-07 02:12 am (UTC)He sniffles into her. Rafe likes hugs.
"I'm sorry."
For making you stop. For accidentally invading your privacy without meaning to. For everything. It isn't fair, all of this. Everything is so complicated that he doesn't know what to think. He definitely needed this shopping trip.
"I didn't mean to look or to feel it. It just happens."

Date: 2012-08-07 02:37 am (UTC)She understands that a power like this should be controlled or kept under wraps, but she doesn't want him to feel like he has to do that around her, too. She wants him to know that it's okay and that it's going to be okay...

Date: 2012-08-07 03:15 am (UTC)"Okay. You don't have to keep secrets from me either. Okay? I want to know whatever you want to tell me."
He wipes his eyes.
"It's going to all be okay, right?"

His stomach growls audibly then and he blushes a little.

Date: 2012-08-07 03:37 am (UTC)He likes her eyes. They are kind, sweet, understanding, loving.
He blows a loose tuft of hair out of his eyes and wipes his face with the back of his hand.
"Yeah. Thanks."
He squeezed her hand one more time for good measure.
"Where do you want to go? I don't really know any places around here."

no subject
Date: 2012-08-07 08:50 pm (UTC)She started making their way to the nearest pizza place then. Hopefully, this entire trip will make her understand him better.

Date: 2012-08-07 10:03 pm (UTC)He is back to looking curious and interested. He's really relieved he siesn't bother her. Rafe undoes his seat belt and hops out of the car, closing the door behind him.

Date: 2012-08-07 10:28 pm (UTC)He watches everything she and the other people do with a quiet intensity. He' s seen this scenario before in media, so he sort of knows what to expect.
When the hostess seats them, he slides into the booth's seat across from Holiday and pauses briefly before taking the menu that the hostess offers him and thanks her quietly. He looks over at Holiday, looking for a sign he did it right.

Date: 2012-08-07 10:39 pm (UTC)She glances to the menu, before looking back up. "Anything in particular you want?"

Date: 2012-08-07 10:41 pm (UTC)"Something with a lot of meat on it. That stuff in the hospital wing is for the birds."
Blue eyes look up at her.
"How about you?"

Date: 2012-08-07 10:51 pm (UTC)"You can do that? They put different things on different parts? Yeah! I want to do that."

Date: 2012-08-07 11:02 pm (UTC)Holiday isn't surprised by his no viggies thing. He is, after all, a ten year old boy.
